When I speak of simply dense objects I think of projects similar to Quadro. Produced by Foscarini in 1993 this wall lamp has been in production for over twenty years. I think its strength lies in both his serial nature – it combines the artisan blown glass conical diffuser  with  the industrial frosted  glass of the small wall behind – and  formal one: a simple and extreme geometry that conveys lightness.
